“My name is Edwin Bunane, I am 36 years old. I am married and we have a 10-year-old child. My wife is working as a Cashier while I am employed in QuadX as a Transport Operator for almost a year now. As parents, our child is our most priority especially during this time. We have been working hard so we could provide the needs of our family. It is very difficult for us because we had to leave our child to my parents in Cagayan so we could work. Being away from our child is never easy but we have to sacrifice anyway so we could support him.
A lot of things had happened in the past years since the pandemic started. We are still surviving but at least we have learned a lot of things from it. We are blessed enough because we are not affected financially since we still have our income despite the health crisis. However, there is always fear with everything that has been happening especially when it comes to the health of my family. As much as possible, I want to avoid public places just to be safe because we cannot afford to get sick since we really need our job to support our child. However, since my wife and I are working, we do not have much of a choice and it is really a struggle to commute nowadays. We really wanted to get a motorcycle so it would be easier for us to go to work every day, but we are short in budget. Gratefully, our company is partnered to Access which is really helpful especially when it comes to our financial needs. With the help of Access, we are now able to get a motorcycle which is a huge help for everyday use especially when going to work.”
