“My name is Armenio Melendres and I am a 38-year-old father to three children. I work as a Leadman in SDW for three years and I am currently based here in Cebu for work, while my family is living in Manila. I come home occasionally to visit them, but our current situation makes it hard since we are in quarantine again. But I really don’t mind being away with my family if I can be a good provider to them especially during this pandemic where everything is uncertain. So, I must make sure that I can give anything that my family needs to survive. Ever since I had my children, I have come to realize a lot of things especially from being a father. As the head of the family, it is my responsibility to make sure that they have the guidance and protection despite of everything else.

I have learned the importance of fatherhood when my own father got sick. He has been my inspiration to become a good provider to my family. He is now 82 years old so when they said that he needs an operation, I immediately asked for financial help to Access since we are struggling financially because of this pandemic. I am beyond grateful that God gave me a way to somehow overcome this challenge that came into my family. And thankfully, my father is getting well as he is taking the medicine that he needs. This experience made me realize that no matter how bad the situation is, there is always a way to get through it if you just keep your faith and be strong.”

Leadman, SDW Realty and Development
